After the Way

The arrival in Santiago de Compostela is always a moment of intense emotion and pride. But after walking for a number of days, the return to “normal life” is often very quick, too quick. So the gap between the two is sometimes difficult to live with.

But the benefits of the Path are long-lasting, and our vision of the world is forever changed.

Simplicity, conviviality and solidarity are some of the nuggets we find along the way.

Then comes the desire to give back what you’ve received as a pilgrim.

For some, it will be to open a gîte, for others it will be to become a hospice worker in refuges, the possibilities are numerous!

Within our association, you will have the opportunity to be of service by becoming a hospice worker, a duty officer or a beaconer.
